Junior Suite

Junior Suite with Castle View

With its welcoming lounge area and stunning views of Edinburgh Castle, our Junior Suite Castle View provides spacious and elegant surroundings. The room is 38-45 square metres, and has a king bed or two single beds. The Junior Suite offers an open plan living and bedroom area complete with separate seating area. The room also provides generous wardrobe space, individually controlled air-conditioning and features a spacious Italian marble bathroom.

Classic Suite

At 44-66 square metres, our Classic Suite is extremely spacious and perfectly appointed for longer stays. This suite features the added luxury of a separate living room and incorporates a king sized bed or two single beds and city views of Edinburgh. Additional features include a walk-in dressing room, spacious Italian marble bathroom, air-conditioning and a wide range of in-room amenities.

Grand Suite

At 51-55 square metres, our Grand Suite is exceptionally spacious with traditional Scottish design features. This corner suite features the luxury of a separate living room and incorporates a king-sized bed or two single beds and unrivalled views of Edinburgh. Additional features include a walk-in dressing room, spacious Italian marble bathroom, air-conditioning and a wide range of in-room amenities.  

Castle View Suite

J.K. Rowling Suite

The J.K. Rowling suite is one of our most sought after suites and is a spacious 55 square metres. This suite is where J.K. Rowling finished Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. It contains a marble bust of Hermes, the Greek god of travel, signed by J.K. Rowling herself. The door knocker is a brass owl in her honour. The J.K. Rowling suite provides you with a beautiful and comfortable sitting room with turret style alcoves providing a view over Calton Hill and the decor inspired by the Scottish woodlands.

Balmoral Suite

The Balmoral Suite measures approximately 66 square metres and is located on the corner of the building with beautiful views over Arthur's Seat and the Old Town of Edinburgh whilst combining a working fireplace within the living area. Additional features include a marble bathroom with bath and walk-in shower.

Glamis Suite

The newly refurbished Glamis Suite is classic yet contemporary and enjoys views the full length of Princes Street. The suite has a very spacious lounge filled with antique and modern furnishings with a dining area, master bedroom and a spacious bathroom. The suite can connect to two Executive Rooms, has individually controlled air-conditioning and a wide range of in-room amenities.

Scone & Crombie Suite

Brasserie Prince

Overseen by Executive Chef, Gary Robinson, Brasserie Prince celebrates the very best of Scottish produce with classic French cooking. Serving seasonally inspired, classic bistro dishes that harmonize quintessentially French flavors with local ingredients. At Bar Prince the ambiance is relaxed yet convivial. Guests can enjoy a pre-dinner aperitif, sit in the cozy library by the fire for an after dinner drink or sample cocktails at the long, marble bar counter for a fun night out.

Number One

The hotel’s Michelin-starred restaurant, Number One, offers modern Scottish dining with the finest service. Head Chef Mark Donald and his team have developed a menu fusing modern Scottish cuisine with international flair.

Number One was fully refurbished in 2015 offering a fresh, contemporary style while retaining the warm and inviting atmosphere which guests have enjoyed since the restaurant opened in 1997. Take a seat on our comfortable dove grey wool banquettes and sample some of Scotland's most creative dishes. Art is at the centre of Number One's interior design with a large triptych print of a Scottish oak tree by Adam Ellis complementing artwork from the Royal College of Art in London which hangs on the rich red lacquered walls.

Palm Court

Palm Court is an Edinburgh institution that's as glittering as its glass dome and Venetian chandelier. The place to sample our award-winning Afternoon Tea and a wide selection of loose leaf teas, coffee and pastries. Sip vintage champagne and try to spot the Calton Hill follies hidden on the wallpaper. A harpist provides the perfect accompaniment.
